Traditional holographic origination technologies
1. 1D grating: The grating structure features simple linear gratings at sub-micron level. The grating causes diffraction and reflects rainbow spectrums when white light passes through.
2. 2D grating: The grating structure consists vertical and horizontal gratings. As a result, we can see rainbow spectrum in either direction.
3. 2D/3D multi-layers: This is the most popular technique in conventional holography. The characteristic is to show multiple 2-dimentional images in different layers. This technique creates a sense of depth and pseudo 3D effect.
4. True 3D image: In addition to color shift, the most unique characteristic of a hologram is the 3D effect. We can make true 3D hologram image by recording a 3D model. Holograms made with this technique are difficult to duplicate.
5. Dot-matrix: This technique uses two laser beams to create interfering grating, and uses computer to encode and decode grating data to generate the image. Now Klaser can provide many resolutions of dot-matrix images. The maximum resolution is 1000dpi.
6. Real color: Using computer aided analyzing system, we can convert the pixels of a color picture into proper grating. With this technique, we can produce a hologram image that looks of the same color as the original picture in a certain angle.
7. Multi-channel: Employing light guide theory, we are able to make one image visible in a defined area. We advance the technique to encode multiple images in a small area, and that makes our hologram harder to duplicate.
